How to Verify an Official Antivirus Support Website
Check the domain
Look at the browser address before entering credentials or payment information. A brand name in a page title is not enough.
Use a known starting point
Start from the vendor’s official website or installed application instead of a number shown in an unexpected pop-up.
Stop if the page demands remote access
Unexpected requests for remote-control software, payment or verification codes are strong warning signs.
